Weight: I weigh approximately 48.50 lbs.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 8 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jan 23, 2025 and am ready to go home today!

Bio: In 1972 Paul Simon sang a song called “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” about two boys getting themselves into trouble. Our Julio isn’t much of a troublemaker himself, but he’d love to pal around with you and be your sidekick!
Julio spent two months in one foster home- here’s what his foster had to say:
“Julio is still a puppy with lots of energy. He loves his person and always wanted to sleep beside me every night. He absolutely loves people.”
In another foster home, we learned even more about this very good boy:
- He did well with kids aged 11 to 17
- He was tolerant and playful with a small dog
- He is crate trained
- He is house trained with a regular potty schedule
- He is a power chew and loves strong chew toys, tug o’ war, and loves to shred his stuffies
- He is affectionate, friendly, and loves to give kisses
“Julio is an amazing dog and truly deserves a family that is active and will be able to give him mental and physical stimulation. He is high energy especially in the evenings.”
Julio does well in the car and likes to play in the water- a true adventure pup! Here’s what some of his friends at the shelter have said:
“I LOVE Julio. He’s a bouncy boy but is great on walks and is very sweet and affectionate. He has a playful side but settles quickly and is very sweet and eager to please his people. He loves pets and cuddles and is just a very nice very good boy.”
“Julio is a handsome and playful pup who loves spending time in a yard with his kennelmate. Overall, he’s a sweet guy who likes people!”
“Today Julio played in the kiddie pool for a while, where he was happy to sit for treats and bob for wet milk bones. We went for a short walk where he was a loose leash walker and a very good boy. He’s a very cool dog who would do amazing away from the stress of the shelter!”
Julio shares his kennel politely would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re looking for someone to keep you company down by the schoolyard (or anywhere), look no further! Ask to meet Julio today!
