About: Meet Dozer: A Loving, Playful Pal Seeking His Forever Throne!
Prepare to be charmed by Dozer, a handsome 3-year-old blue and white Pit Bull with a heart as big as his smile! This delightful boy first arrived at PACC in March 2025, having spent his entire life with his previous family. They describe him as a very sweet, loving companion who absolutely adores playtime and car rides – he's even crate trained, which is a huge plus!
Dozer's playful spirit shines through, as one PACC volunteer shared: "First time walking Dozer in a long time. He is just a happy, wiggly boy. Very eager to get out of kennel. After a short stroll, we sat down and he leaned into my leg and enjoyed pets and affection. I just wanted to eat him up and squeeze his fat cheeks. Upon return, neighbors were inside so I entered kennel to test his behavior. He sat calmly while I unleashed and he ran to public side so I exited. Very nice boy!"
While Dozer is a cuddle bug and a total bed hog who thrives on being close to his people, he is looking for a home where he can be the one and only cherished pet. During his time at PACC, Dozer has shown himself to be generally easygoing in playgroups with other dogs, often keeping to himself. However, in a home environment, he has displayed challenges with other resident pets, which appears to stem from a combination of resource guarding and also a strong prey drive, particularly with smaller animals like cats. This was highlighted when he unfortunately caused injuries to a cat in his foster home, leading to his return after only 16 hours. He also has a prior bite on his record from an altercation with a littermate, and a second from the incident with the cat during separation.
Please don't let these past incidents deter you from meeting this incredibly loving boy! Dozer's ideal home is one where he can truly be the king of his castle, receiving all the attention and affection he craves without the presence of other pets. He absolutely thrives on human companionship and would revel in being your constant shadow. Dozer is a wonderful, affectionate boy who deserves a fresh start and a loving home where he can simply be the amazing companion we know he is. Come meet Dozer today and let this handsome, deserving boy wiggle his way into your heart!

Available for long term foster care (30+ days) or adoption through PACC.
