Bio: Rayo is a young boy who is full of perfect puppy energy! He was surrendered to the shelter after six months in a home where he was reportedly good with kiddos. He did not have a secure yard, so that’s a must for this boy’s future! During a brief adoption Rayo was house trained, well- behaved when left home alone, and was described as affectionate and playful.
“Rayo loves to stretch out at the top of the bed and naps curled up on the couch. He is good at taking treats in exchange for tricks, likes riding with the windows half down in the car, and LOVES squeaky toys. He loves morning rubs and likes to sleep next to you! He is a really sweet and intelligent boy who needs someone who can train him.”
Here's what some of Rayo’s friends at the shelter have said:
“I’ve walked Rayo several times and am pleased with how easy he is to handle.
He is easy to leash in kennel and he is very easy to walk with almost no pulling. He does not react to other dogs he passes on the way out of the kennel or on the walk. He knows sit and takes treats gently. This is a sweet, big Labrador mix. Last night, he even gave me a little kiss on the cheek!”
“What a handsome, smart boy! He just wants to sniff and explore. He’s getting better at sitting on command and loves his treats! He is great at catching them in the air. One of the things I love about him is the way he looks at me - he seems to be very people oriented. I also love the way his ears flop when we’re walking - he is so cute.”
“Rayo is a big goofball and he absolutely loves people! In a yard, after his initial zoomies to drain his energy, he likes to cuddle and give sloppy kisses.”
“Rayo was eager to get out of his kennel and he responded well to my training cues to sit and wait until I invited him to come out of the kennel. On the walk, he immediately did his business and was pretty polite on the leash! What a pleasant surprise! He takes treats gently, knows sit (sort of - with a treat lure) and likes eating grass (who doesn't?). Completely nonreactive to other dogs and walkers. Sweet pupper!”
Rayo has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup; he’d like to meet any potential furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Rayo today!!
