About:
Meet Eleanor, a sweet and modest Queensland Heeler mix who is patiently waiting for her chance to shine in a loving home. Despite the often-busy nature of the shelter, Eleanor is a model of good manners, especially when out for walks—she is a polite little lady on the leash and truly enjoys the routine. When it comes to playtime, she shines. She loves engaging with her kennel mates, participating in gentle, dainty play during group sessions. Eleanor is looking for an adopter who recognizes her potential and is ready to welcome this charming, compact girl into their life. Like many dogs transitioning out of a shelter environment, Eleanor will need some dedicated time to decompress in her new home. She is seeking a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to give her the space and time required to adjust, helping her feel completely safe and secure. While she's a social butterfly in her current playgroups, she can be a bit assertive in her greetings when meeting new dogs for the first time. For this reason, Eleanor would greatly benefit from a structured, calm introduction to any resident dogs to ensure a smooth transition and happy cohabitation. With understanding and a bit of patience, Eleanor is sure to become a loyal and affectionate member of the family.
Available for foster care (2+ weeks) or adoption through PACC.
Interested parties:
Must visit PACC before the Close of business Friday November 14th deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with.
Home Management Plan
1) Level 3 moderate bite - victim's hand was bit when dog squeezed her head through the door as his kennel was being cleaned.
2) DOG INTRO RECOMMENDED due to assertiveness and semi steerability
