Bio: Are you more into puttering around the yard than running around town? Do you consider walking to the mailbox your daily workout? Do you prefer lounging with a good book over just about anything else? If you appreciate life in the slow lane, have we got a pup for you! Winder is a handsome senior who likes to take things slow himself!
Winder recently spent a few weeks in a foster home and they said the following about this very polite houseguest:
“Winder was around other dogs and he was a playful guy. When left alone he is very calm and mostly sleeps. Once he warms up to people he is calm and playful.”
Here’s what one of his friends at the shelter said:
“Winder spent quite a few weeks in the clinic. He's a trooper! He's gone from hind end paralysis to walking on all fours through laser treatment and physical therapy. Winder is cautious when first meeting new human friends but has become great friends with everyone he's met. He enjoys standing quietly looking over the lake and listening to the sounds of the ducks. He's a sensitive guy with a bit of a worry streak, but once he feels secure he comes out of his shell. To get in his physical therapy I just let him out into the open clinic at night when we're there alone and he scoots around and plays hide and seek. Everybody that meets him falls in love with him.”
Winder is a resilient gentleman who is recovering from IVDD (that’s Intervertebral Disc Disease) and who would LOVE to find a savvy foster or adoptive family who is prepared to care for him as he continues his recovery. Winder appreciates life’s simple pleasures; a soft bed, time outside in the sun, and loving friends. He deserves the chance to relax in a calm, loving and comfy retirement home.
Winder shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Please ask to meet him today!!
