Bio: There are many famous princesses that most people will recognize- Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, Princess Peach from Mario Brothers, Princess Leia from Star Wars… but none of them hold a candle to PACC’s Princess!!
Princess was surrendered to the shelter when her family could no longer keep her due to housing challenges. They shared that Princess was shy when meeting new people but would warm up and become very playful once she was comfortable. She was housebroken and enjoyed car rides, walks and hikes, and was described as a very affectionate girl who loved to be by her person’s side.
During a brief foster stay Princess was quiet, friendly, curious and playful. She was house trained and enjoyed sleeping next to her foster person at night. Both shelter staff and volunteers love Princess- here’s what some of her friends have said:
“Princess is a gentle and affectionate dog who enjoys spending time out of her kennel. While she initially took a moment to warm up when being leashed, once she was out, she became very excited. She was calm and non-reactive when passing by other dogs in their kennels. In the play yard she explored her surroundings, sniffing and showing curiosity. At times, she would return to me, jumping into my lap if I was sitting or leaning against my legs if I was standing. Princess also enjoyed chasing tennis balls, though she did not return them. Overall, Princess is a sweet, snuggly, and lovable dog who would make a wonderful companion.”
“Omgoodness I just met Princess Snuggler today!! She was a bit shy in her kennel when we leashed her up but was an easy walker over to the play yard, where she explored for a little bit and then came over to me. I was sitting on the ground and she started by standing next to me and over the course of a minute she had pressed her entire body next to me so that I could pet her. If I stopped, she would press her body closer to me, asking for more! She pretty much ignored her kennel mate and was focused more on getting affection from me than anything else.”
Princess has been tolerant and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re looking to bring a pup home who will be your constant, loving companion, look no further than Princess. She’d love to meet you today!
