About: The Sensitive, Adventure-Loving Companion
Meet Creedence, a truly handsome, seal-colored boy with a huge capacity for love—he just needs the right person to see past his initial nervousness. If your dream weekend involves car rides, swimming, hiking, and playing with toys, this is your guy!
Creedence was surrendered after two years because his big feelings sometimes get the better of him. He is prone to excitement and overstimulation, which led to him jumping up and delivering a minor bite to his previous owner. It is also important to know that he suffers from separation anxiety when left alone.
Since arriving at PACC on 10/02/25, Creedence has made impressive progress, even earning a downgrade on his handling color! He initially showed nervousness and low-growls with new staff, but with time, he now greets trusted volunteers and staff member with a happy tail wag and accepts loving pets.
To ensure his success, Creedence requires a very special adopter or foster who understands these non-negotiable needs:
• Slow Introductions: He is still nervous when meeting new people. Do not force any interactions. You must be extremely patient and allow him to approach you on his own terms.
• High-Value Trust Builders: Building trust with him can help when using high-value treats (like chicken pieces or hot dogs) during introductions.
• A Safe Space: His separation anxiety means he will require a dedicated plan for when he is left alone. Enrichment items (kongs, puzzle feeders, frozen treats etc.).
This sensitive boy needs at least 30 days out of the shelter environment to truly decompress and show you the loyal companion he can be. If you can offer Creedence a place to land as a foster or are ready to make your home his forever home, please act quickly.
If you have other dogs, we highly recommend you bring them to PACC for a meet-and-greet to ensure initial compatibility.
Creedence's deadline is COB on Friday, November 14th. Please come to PACC today if you can save this wonderful dog!

Available for foster care (minimum 2+ weeks) or adoption through PACC.
Interested parties:
Must visit PACC before the COB November 13th , 2025 deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit.

Home Management Plan

Bite History
• owner walked in, the dog was amped up and bit him walking in unprovoked

Handling Issues
• Go slow and at your new dog's pace, does NOT like forced handling.
• Your new pet may fear bite if you force handling, give your new pet time to decompress in the home.
• Focus on positive training and interactions with your new pets.
• Reach out to TOP Dogs [topdogshelp@gmail.com] or an outside professional trainer for assistance.

Separation Anxiety
• Crate training can help prevent destructive behaviors.
• Some dogs get bored easily, offering activities such as frozen kongs, enrichments, music and TV sounds can keep them busy and help alleviate stress.
• Work with a trainer to help extend the length of comfort for your dog when alone.

Prey Drive
• May chase or pull towards small animals. May need a strong handler when out on walks.
• This can be an instinctual behavior, breed related behavior or learned behavior.
• Work with a trainer for behavioral modification.

Stranger Danger:
• Your new dog is uncomfortable around new people. They may bark, snap, or flee.
• They need a slow introduction to new people. Muzzle training is recommended for safe introductions.
• Needs a safe place to be away from new people coming into the home.
• Your new dog will do best going for walks in low-traffic areas where it is quiet.
