Bio: A Yule log or bûche de Noël is a traditional Christmas cake, essentially a very large Swiss roll decorated to look like a log. We saw them going for $80 at a local bakery over the holiday season, a testament to the time, effort and skill it takes to make. We couldn’t afford such an extravagant desert, so we thought we’d enjoy something just as yummy at the shelter- our own sweetie, Yule! Yule is a resilient boy who has been through the ringer, yet maintains his joyful and friendly disposition. Here’s what one friend said:
“Yule is a friendly, bouncy, cuddly guy who came into the shelter in pretty bad shape. He is healing up nicely and he hasn’t let his cone or his injuries get him down! He is always friendly and excited to get out of his kennel. I’ve taken him over to the play yard several times and he always follows the same routine. He goes potty, sniffs around a little bit, then comes over and leans into me for snuggles. He loves to have his back and butt scratched and pet and he will move in close to get in just the right position for sustained affection and attention. He’s a spectacular boy who deserves a chance at a safe and happy life with a devoted family.”
Yule would like to meet any resident pups before heading home to ensure a good fit.
While our boy Yule can’t claim any baking skills and his piping work would probably be pretty terrible (no thumbs!), he hopes that his sweet personality will be enough to win you over. Come meet him- you won’t be disappointed!
