Bio: Randal has a serious face and a seriously big heart to share! He’s one of those dogs who looks like he may be mildly judging you, but we promise he’s not- he just has RJF (that’s resting judgy face). Don’t take it personally!! Randal spent several months in a foster home- here’s what his foster told us:
“After about 5 months in foster care, I can say this boy is truly a loving, gentle, and affectionate dog. He is a big cuddle bug who loves pushing his head into you for attention and being close to his person. He is incredibly mellow and spends most of his time sleeping or relaxing.
He did wonderfully with a 7-year-old child and has been very friendly with other dogs. He especially loved playing with my mom’s puppy while respectfully leaving her older dog alone. He also handles busy environments, loud music, and gatherings very well.
He is housebroken and does well free-roaming. He isn’t interested in toys but absolutely loves bones.
I want to emphasize that his shelter behavior is very different from his behavior at home. At home, he is quiet, calm, affectionate, and relaxed. He would do best with someone who can give him space, structure, patience, and lots of love. He has so much love to give and would make an amazing companion for someone looking for a gentle, goofy, cuddly giant.”
Here’s what Randal’s friends at the shelter have said:
“Randal is a complete sweetheart once he knows you! In a yard, he was on my lap and giving me lots of kisses. He followed me around the yard, sticking close. He gave the most loving eye contact and that melted my heart!”
“When I first started walking Randal in the beginning of January, he was quite stoic and hard to read. He has opened up so much since then and become more affectionate. He even met a new person today in the yard and after a few minutes he was super friendly and snuggly with her.”
Randal shares his kennel with another PACC pup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Randal today!
