Bio: Colt is a bouncy boy who loves his human friends, loves spending time outdoors, and has a joyful and fun personality. Here’s what some of his friends at the shelter have said:
“Colt is an energetic and friendly pup who is always excited to get out of his kennel and loves to dip his feet in the doggy pool! At one point he even balanced all four feet on the rim of the pool which I thought was pretty impressive! He knows sit and is a perfect gentleman when taking treats from your hand. He’s very sweet and affectionate and has a happy and curious personality. Definitely a fun dog and very enjoyable to spend time with!!”
“I took Colt and his kennel mate to the Dog of the Day yard and they both behaved beautifully. Colt is a very smart boy and learned a couple of tricks right away- he is very treat motivated. He has a lot of energy.”
Colt also headed out on a day trip away from the shelter:
“On the car ride Colt was pretty excited at first and tried to make his way in the front seat. But after about 10 minutes, he settled down and acted like a complete gentleman for the rest of the ride. Colt has some energy and LOVES his toys and tennis balls. He kept pushing a tennis ball under the couch and making me retrieve it for him, which apparently was a very entertaining game. He also had an absolute blast tearing apart a few of toys we had for him.
After about two hours of having the time of his life playing, Colt finally started to settle down and was content just rolling around with his ball. He’s also a smart boy! He knows sit and was more than happy to show off his skills while I took pictures of him. He also seemed potty trained- he did not attempt to mark in the house at all and every time we went outside, he did his business. Overall, he’s a great boy!”
Colt shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Colt today!!
