Bio: Lafayette, Louisiana is the vibrant cultural heart of Acadiana, widely known as the Cajun and Creole capital of the state. This begs the question… does our Lafayette speak French Creole? Does he love Gumbo? Is Mardi Gras his favorite celebration? He hasn’t answered these questions for us yet, but maybe he’ll tell you!! Here’s what some of his friends at the shelter have said:
“Lafayette is really starting to open up! While he’s still a little timid, especially in the kennel area, he now solicits attention from me during our walks. If I stop walking, he’ll sit perfectly in front of me for a treat. He’s a nice, low-key dog who is a pleasure to be around.”
“Ah Lafayette, such a sweet boy! He’s a bit shy but was wagging his tail as soon as I entered the kennel. Easy to leash and braver once outside. In a yard, all he wanted to do was to cuddle while giving me loving, soft eye contact. I’m smitten!”
Lafayette shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. The French Creole word for dog is chien- come meet this very good chien today!!
