Bio: If you’re someone who prefers to live in the slow lane and take things easy and are looking for a new best friend who will match your pace, let us introduce you to Lars! Lars is an understated fellow- he might not catch your attention as you’re walking through the crowded shelter, but we’re sure that he’ll snatch your heart if you take the time to meet him! Lars has some devoted volunteer pals who think he’s pretty great, sharing:
“Lars doesn't just take a walk, he is the walk. And he has one speed - Lars speed, which won't be breaking any records unless it's in the category lackadaisical. He’s a pretty slow, reserved and mellow guy. He's only estimated to be 5 years old but has the air of a much more distinguished (old) fella. So, if you're one who likes to build relationships slowly, meet Lars and see if you can bring out his inner puppy. I'd love to see how he does in a home.”
“Lars is a gentle sweetheart! He has learned his kennel routine and always walks easily over to the play yard. Once in the yard, he goes potty, does a little sniffing, then it's time to snuggle!! Today when I sat down in a chair, he got closer and closer and closer, until his head rested on my knee and we enjoyed some sweet cuddles together. He’s always happy to sit by my side, whether I’m on the ground or in a chair, as long as I’m up for pets, he’s game! He's a sweet guy!”
Lars has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Lars is ready to learn what it means to be spoiled in a loving home- his gentle disposition and sweet demeanor will make a wonderful addition to a family! Come meet him today!
