Bio: Stormi is a young cutie who lived in one home for most of her life before to coming to the shelter. Her recent foster reports that she is friendly, snuggly, and loves to play. She is happy chilling on the couch with a human and another canine, but also loves going outside for walks and to play. She is very quiet. She barked only a very few times, and only when she thought there was an intruder. Even then, she let out only 2-3 barks to alert the family. She is quite trainable, immediately learning to sit pretty for snacks after watching the foster’s dog and to go to a separate room for breakfast and dinner. She got along well with the foster’s dog, asking politely to play and accepting his answer if he respectfully declined. She slept in her crate the whole night without any problems or complaints. She would be fine without another dog, too, as she bonds quickly with her humans. She is afraid of loud noises, which explains why she might not show her true personality at a shelter. That said, she decompressed quickly in a real home.

“Stormi is a reserved but very sweet girl who warms up quickly. She’s done well with her kennelmates in the shelter and is easy to handle and pleasant to spend time with. She has an independent personality but appreciates a bit of affection and pets. Very nice girl!”
“Stormi was a bit shy but walked well on the leash. We went to a quiet play yard; I sat on the bench in the play yard and she came to me and took treats from my hand and let me pet her. She’s really sweet but scared in the shelter environment.”.
Stormi has shared her kennel and has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Staff said that “Once she relaxed, she was very easygoing and engaged in play. She was people oriented and overall pretty easygoing.”
Stormi would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Stormi today!
