Bio: Buffay is a party in a dog’s body! This wobbly, weird little dude has completely charmed everyone he’s met—from his foster home to the clinic staff who cared for him while monitoring his neurological quirks. He’s got a unique look to match his personality: a slight parrot mouth, a tongue that’s often sticking out, and a zig-zag walk that sometimes results in him tripping over his own paws. We don’t know exactly why he’s so wonky, but it only adds to his irresistible charm. Buffay is incredibly sweet and loves to melt right into you. He enjoys the company of other animals, does great with cats, and ignores livestock. He’s food motivated, comfortable in his crate, and doing well with potty training—though he may need a little extra time and patience to fully get the hang of it. As a young pup who was recently neutered, Buffay is still learning boundaries and doesn’t quite understand personal space yet. Because his body language can be a bit awkward, slow introductions to other dogs are important. Some dogs may find him a little overwhelming at first, so a meet-and-greet is strongly encouraged before adoption. He rides great in the car and is learning to walk on leash, but like any puppy, he’s still got that “baby derp brain” and will need a patient, understanding home to help him grow. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion full of love, quirks, and personality, Buffay might just be your guy!
