Bio: Harrison came to PACC with severe valley fever. He has been healing in a home and making improvements!
Here is what his foster has to say: "He is a sweet, gentle dog who gets along fine despite his physical limitations. Mostly walks on the front two legs, occasionally putting his back leg down for balance and stability. He does not use the other back leg due to the Valley Fever.

He is a good eater and food motivated. Working on taking treats nicely but still a bit nippy and his teeth get in the way!

He Loves his stuffy squeak toys and chews them apart in no time! Bark Box day is a favorite at our house!

He does very good with our female pitbull. They play together well but he can get a little mouthy with her and has been a bit rough. We're working on that.

He isn't too fond of our cats. He is reactive to them when they are running or playing or jumping around being cats. We seperate them as much as possible while still working with Harrison to get along with them and be respectful.

He is fine on a leash but with his back legs in the condition they are in, we do not walk him. He has free reign of our back yard. He does his business and comes right back in. He comes when called also.

He does well in his crate and will go right into it even if he doesn't have to. We only crate when absolutely necessary and for short periods of time. I don't trust him to be left in the house if we're not home. He has tried chewing things, shoes! He would most likely be fine un-crated but I don't want to take that chance.

He is let out at frequent, consistent intervals but doesn't always make it oitside in time and doesn't always tell us he needs to go out. He has also gone in the house after coming right back in from outside. We were thinking maybe his meds might be attributing to the pee accidents.

He loves people! Unsure about any children. He is like glue to who ever is closest around! My self, husband and Mother. Very gentle with my 85 year old Mother. Can be a tripping hazard though! Obviously does not jump up onto people.

Due to his legs he does not jump up on anything. We place him on the bed and take down. Steps are really not an option because he hops on the front two legs mostly. We have not tried a ramp as of yet.

He loves his dog bed and will go lay in it without being told to do so. But prefers to sleep in bed with us.

He was doing really well with potty outside but then started having some accidents both pee and poop in the house. Also thinking he may not want to go out if he's in pain.

He's a very good boy that is very loving and loves attention. He is overall quiet but does bark at the cats.

He has been reactive to a neighbors dog at the fence and other dogs when we took him to PACC for his vet visit.

His skin and coat are getting relatively better and softer. His scars from another dog at another foster are completely healed. His teeth are clean. His eyes are clean and clear. His ears are clean. We have not bathed him yet as of the unstableness of his legs vs a bath tub. We are hoping to have him groomed but uncertain if he will be able to tolerate it.

He had his nails done once when he first came to us and did fine with the groomer.

I think he's a bit reactive due to his limitations and pain factor. He wants to run amd jump and play but just can't that much." Harrison takes pain medications and antifungals for his valley fever. He could use a home that is willing to continue his care and love him!
