Bio: Ebony's transformation since leaving the shelter has been nothing short of remarkable. When she first arrived in foster care, she was understandably overwhelmed by the changes in her world. She was anxious, highly energetic, and fearful.

After just a few weeks in a stable home environment, Ebony has blossomed into a much more confident and happy dog. She is now approximately 95% house-trained, with only occasional accidents during monsoon storms when loud weather can make her nervous.
She has established a consistent feeding routine and is doing well eating meals in her crate.

Ebony is a playful girl who loves chasing after a tennis ball in the yard and enthusiastically pursuing rabbits and lizards when she spots them. She is also incredibly affectionate and thrives on human companionship. Whether she's curled up on the couch or following her favorite people around the house, Ebony prefers to be close to those she loves.

Because she forms strong bonds with her people, Ebony would do best with an individual or couple who can devote time and attention to her. She enjoys resting in her crate, although she can still become anxious if the crate door is closed for extended periods.

Ebony has a big bark and takes her role as household alert system seriously. Visitors may be surprised by her intimidating bark at the door, but she is not a frequent barker and settles once she realizes there is no threat.

According to her trainer, Ebony is a happy, treat-motivated dog who enjoys learning and responds well to positive reinforcement. Due to her documented history, she would do best in a home without small dogs. With continued structure, patience, and love, Ebony will make a loyal, devoted, and entertaining companion for a family willing to help her continue building confidence. Beneath her playful personality is a sweet dog who simply wants to be loved and included in her family's daily life.
