Bio: Tank is living proof that sometimes a dog just needs the chance to leave the shelter and show who they really are! He found himself at risk in the overcrowded shelter and was saved by a foster at the last minute. He spent about a month and a half in that home and we learned so much about what a very good boy he is!!

In his foster home, this gentle, affectionate boy blossomed into a wonderful companion who was house trained, crate trained, walked beautifully on a leash, and loved being part of the family. He loves chew toys, playing fetch, and LOVES playing in the water. Tank’s foster described him as a loving, cuddly, smart boy who matches his peoples’ energy. Whether you're heading out for a walk, playing a game of fetch, or settling in for a quiet evening on the couch, he's happiest right by your side. Tank is smart, food-motivated, eager to learn, and already knows several basic commands.

“We love how curious Tank is. He loves trying new foods and we love watching him experience them. He loves carrots and broccoli. We love how much he loves playing fetch and how he'll bring us his favorite stuffy so we can throw it for him or simply to show it to us. We also really love how he can mirror energy. He seems to naturally read the room.”

Here’s what some of Tank’s friends at the shelter have said:

“Tank is a super friendly and attentive boy. He loves to sit for treats and get some attention.”

“Tank and I had a lovely walk. Uneventful exit, perfectly nice loose leash walk. He sat for treats a few times, got some pets, and was a sweet boy. I went into the kennel with him on return, asked for a sit which he did with no trouble, unleashing was easy.”

“Tank is a high-energy boy with the most beautiful red Holstein coat! He has big puppy energy in a play yard and loves to explore, smell all the messages left behind by the dogs who came before him, and check out everyone who walks by. He’s a bouncy boy, but after he burns off some energy, he is content to stand by and get pets and if invited
he will even get into your lap for cuddles!”

Tank has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit and is looking for a home without small dogs or other small pets. This resilient, loyal boy is ready to thrive in his forever home- ask to meet him today!!
