Description: My name is Hershey and I am a male, black Domestic Shorthair.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 11 weeks old.
Weight: I weigh 2.52 lbs.

Brief Bio: Hershey has been fostered in a home with his best buddy, Chester, as well as several adult cats. He enjoys trying to convince the big cats to play with him—even when they aren’t quite as enthusiastic about the idea! He has been around adults and young adults but has not had much experience with young children. Hershey and Chester are wonderful friends who play, wrestle and sleep together whenever they can. They would also make a fantastic ready-made pair for someone looking for two kittens who already love each other. Hershey is fully litter box trained and enjoys both cardboard and rope scratching surfaces.
Summary of Personality: If you’ve ever wanted your very own Halloween cat, Hershey has been practicing for the job! This handsome all-black boy has a hilarious habit of arching his back and fluffing his tail as big as possible when he’s excited and ready to play. It’s all part of the game—he’s a sweet, playful boy who loves batting balls around and especially enjoys toys with balls that roll around a track.
Hershey has a medium energy level. He loves wrestling and racing around with Chester, but he doesn’t feel the need to go quite as fast, jump quite as high, or play quite as long as his energetic orange buddy.
Hershey is affectionate while still having an independent streak. In the morning, he’ll greet you with purrs and happily ask for pets and to be picked up, but he’ll let you know when cuddle time is over and he’s ready to get back to important kitten business. He also has what his foster family calls his “shopping cart tail”—when he strolls around the house, his tail sticks straight up like a little flag!
Hershey loves being brushed, enjoys a cozy soft place to sleep, and is a big fan of wet food and drinking fresh running water from a fountain. He may be a little reserved when someone new first arrives, but curiosity quickly takes over and he comes to investigate.
And when Hershey needs a break from playing? He and Chester have discovered television. Their current favorite is SEALOOK on Netflix, and the two can actually be found sitting together watching it!
