Meet August
August is a happy-go-lucky Heeler mix who's thriving in foster care. He's playful, silly, snuggly, and a friend to everyone he meets—dogs and humans alike. While he's an energetic 2-year-old, he's also remarkably chill during the day. He loves to splay his toys everywhere, splash in his doggy pool, roll around in the yard, and go on car rides to fun outings.
The practical stuff: Housetrained. Sleeps through the night. No destruction. Gets along great with his 13-year-old foster sibling. Solid with kids. He's working on leash manners (he pulls a bit at first, not aggressively—just enthusiastic).
Like any Heeler, August will do best with a family that can provide regular exercise and mental enrichment. In return, you'll get tail wags, full-body snuggles, and nonstop laughs at his antics and joy.
