Animal information
A341565
Located At: San Luis Obispo County Animal Services
Description: My name is Gus and I am a male, brown and black German Shepherd Dog.
Age: I am about 3 years old.
Weight: 78.00 lbs
More Info: I am currently available for adoption.
I have been at the shelter since Jul 21, 2026.
Gus is a handsome 3-year-old German Shepherd with a big presence and an independent personality. He’s a big, strong boy who would do best with an experienced owner who understands the breed and is comfortable handling a powerful dog. Gus can be a little aloof at first, but he has a soft spot for treats and a good game of fetch! A tasty reward or a favorite ball is definitely the way to his heart. Gus would likely be happiest as the only pet in the home, where he can have his person all to himself. He’s looking for someone who will provide structure, consistency, and plenty of positive guidance while respecting his independent nature.
