Luke looks like he was built to scale walls and chase down bad guys.
What he actually wants is to lean his whole body against your leg and stay there.
He's a Velcro dog through and through--happiest shoulder-to-shoulder
with his person, whether that's on a walk, on the couch, or just arund
the house. He's not looking for a non-stop action home; he wants a calm
routine, quiet time next to someone he trusts, and to be included in everyday life.
Luke's come a long way. Months of training have given him real obedience
skills and a growing sense of confidence, though he can still be a little
unsure in new places or with new people at first. Once he feels safe,
though, he's affectionate, loyal, and all in. During fiesta a volunteer took him out
to lunch with friends and he was a respectful dining companion, content to
curl up by the table and enjoy his puppy patty when it was delivered.
He'd do best with a patient, steady adopter, ideally someone with
experience with working breeds, who'll keep building on the foundation
he has. Most important is that adopter accepts him where he's at
right now. In return, he offers his whole devoted self.
He has a group of devoted fans in the volunteer group who would
be happy to tell you more about him. Come meet him!
