Description: Staff named me Surf* and I am a spayed female, black and white Domestic Shorthair.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 9 weeks old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jun 16, 2026.
Meet Surf (of Surf ‘n Turf)! This black and white female kitten. Surf came into the Shelter as an underage kitten found outside a market with his sister Turf. They went to a loving foster home where they grew big and strong and socialized with the two (and four legged) friends in the home. They have experience with cat-savvy dogs and older children and did well. Their foster reports: “They are delights who purr when picked up and love exploring their world. Surf (the b and w female) is the bolder and feistier of the two. Turf (the male) is a little chiller/ more reserved.”
Surf is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery!
Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
