Have you met Bear yet? You should!

This sweet 6 year old is looking forward to his new life. Bear came to the shelter in January severely underweight but since he has been here he has gained over 10 pounds! He can be a little nervous at first but when he opens up he blossoms. Bear is always asking for attemtion from the people he knows and asks for pets. Bear has been experencing a lot of kennel stress from being at the shelter for so long and he needs someone who will give him some time to decompress in a new home. This sesetive soul just wants a home where he can be himself. Will you be the one to make Bear's dreams come true?

Meet Bear, a sweet, bouncy, and affectionate pup who is ready for a loving home.
When Bear first arrived at the shelter, he was underconditioned and severely underweight.
With routine veterinary care, supportive nutrition, and lots of TLC, he has been steadily gaining weight and improving in body condition.
He has also received deworming as part of his standard medical care, and while he had moderate dental buildup, he is otherwise clinically stable with no signs of gastrointestinal illness. Bear is a friendly, social boy who loves attention and seeks comfort from people.
He can be a bit nervous around new things, like leashes, but with gentle guidance, he quickly warms up and shows his playful, loving side.
He enjoys being petted, leans into affection, and is very interested in connecting with humans.
Bear will benefit from a patient adopter who can continue his care at home.
This includes providing a healthy diet and regular feeding schedule to maintain his weight and body condition, follow-up veterinary care including dental evaluation and cleaning, and ongoing attention to his overall health and comfort.
Despite his past challenges, Bear is a loving, loyal companion who is ready to thrive in a quiet, structured, and nurturing home. With patience and encouragement, he has the potential to blossom into the happy, confident dog he was always meant to be.
Bear is looking for someone special to give him the care, stability, and love he deserves—and in return, he will offer unwavering affection and devotion.
