What did we do on today’s adventure:
Oh my gosh, I was so excited to break free and see some sunlight. Despite my wiggles, I controlled myself so my friend could harness me up so we could get on the road. I love people and was so friendly and just love getting pets and kisses. I jumped into the SUV right away and was ready to get going. During the ride, I loved putting my head out the window to feel the breeze. Freedom! Even better was snuggling my nose up to my new friend to get some driving cuddles. We went on a nice long hike. I love smelling all the wild scents on the side of the trail. We passed lots of people and dogs. I did my best doggie smile and wagged my tail. We hiked about 3 miles, and I did my best to walk nicely the whole time. What a fun day. I was so sad to go back to the shelter and wanted to stay with my new human. But....I will eagerly wait until next time.

What did we do on today’s adventure:
Today was AWESOME! Guess what? I saw my human buddy and knew we were going on a fun adventure! And it was a big one—5.8 miles! That’s like… so many steps for my little paws! But I LOVED EVERY SINGLE ONE. This morning, I was READY. I saw the harness and practically yelled, “CAR! CAR! CAR!” (In my head, of course… but also probably out loud.) I hopped in the car so fast you’d think there were squirrels inside waiting for me. But no squirrels! Just the magical promise of an adventure. The first mile? Oh boy, I was a bouncing, zooming, sniffing machine! So many smells! So many trees! So much grass! After I got all my wiggles out, though, I was cool as an ice cube. I trotted along like a professional hiker pup. And get this—I remembered all the water break spots! Like, “Oh hey, here’s where we stop and drink and—OH!—this is where I give you kisses before, during, AND after water break. Because water tastes better when you share it with love. I didn’t care about joggers, bikers, people, OR dogs.

What should potential adopters know about me:
On our 4th outing together, it’s smooth sailing. He jumped in the car right away, sat to get buckled in, and was relatively calm as long as he can sniff out the window. He’s always a bit hyper during the first half hour, but after that he’s very chill.

What did we do on today’s adventure:
I got to go on an ADVENTURE today!!! As soon as I saw my human friend, I knew this would be EPIC! What was happening this time—harness? No problemo. I slipped right in like a pro. I even hopped in the car before my human friend could say “Loki, up!” I know the drill. This time I didn’t bounce around in the car. I was a calm, mature gentleman pup, just taking in the breeze and all the delicious smells floating through the window. When we got to the trail, I remembered everything! I led the way like a tour guide who gets paid in liver treats. I took my human right to all the benches, like, “Here, we drink here.” The first 20 minutes? I was hopping! But after that, I settled into chill-mode. Loose leash, strolling side by side, just vibing with my favorite human friend of the day. I kept looking up like, “You good? You having fun? Wanna pet me? I’ll kiss you either way.” I didn’t even care about the squirrels or the joggers or the speedy bikes zooming past us. I was way too busy enjoying the outdoors! Can’t wait for our next outing. I’ll bring the kisses. You bring the snacks.

What should potential adopters know about me:
On our 3rd outing together, he already knew the drill. Harness was easy to put on, he jumped straight away into the car and sat calmly to get buckled in and was relatively quiet for the ride to the trailhead. He is always excited for the first 20-30 minutes of the walk, jumping like a happy bunny, and checking in with you with a few kisses. Fo r the rest of the walk it was a loose leash. All he wants is a family he can express his love to eveday. He is a very happy puppy and ready to go on daily adventures with you.

Three words to describe me:
Loving, Sweet, Happy

What did we do on today’s adventure:
Today, we went to a park full of exciting sights and smells! We passed birds, squirrels, bikers, joggers, walkers, traffic, and other dogs. I noticed them and kept moving on our way. I loved showing off my “sit” and “paw” for some yummy treats. Dry leaf piles were even more interesting than grassy spots. I enjoyed taking my time to sniff them!

What should potential adopters know about me:
Loki is an affectionate and happy pup who loves to offer kisses. He can get a little jumpy with excitement, so it took us a few moments to get his collar and harness on at the shelter. But once ready, he hopped right into the backseat on his own and let me know just how excited he was with his happy vocalizations on the way to the park. At the start of our walk, he pulled on the leash, but as we continued, he settled down and walked on a loose leash. He checked in frequently with me during our walk and offered kisses whenever he had the chance, total kiss attacks! Loki would be the perfect furry buddy.

Three words to describe me:
Happy, Fun, Friendly

What should potential adopters know about me:
This is my second outing with Loki and he’s still just as goofy, loving, and sweet as ever. His excitement at the start was pretty high, so he pulled a bunch during the first part, but it’s not terrible - it’s very manageable. He didn’t react to any other dogs, bikers, or joggers; it’s clear he does want to go up to humans and say hi, but he will follow your lead if needed. He is super affectionate and immediately trusting of you – his furever family will be lucky to have a pup who just wants to shower you with love and happy adventures.

Three words to describe me:
Affectionate, Fun, Goofy
