Age: The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old.
Found At: I was found at Mcginness Ave / Story Rd
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Mar 02, 2025.
04/03/25 15:54 Neutered. Came in with neuropathy, abnormal movement along left front and back leg. Still has ongoing lameness in left pelvic limb due to medial luxated patella. This is likely a chronic condition and will need lifelong management. Surgery is recommended but can consider medical management. SMUI
03/10/25 17:51 5yo MI chihuahua/ terrier mix with hemiparesis (ambulation issues along the left side of his body). Initially came in nonambulatory with absent proprioception along the left side of this body, radiographs unremarkable. Recheck 7 days later finding improving but still ongoing neuro deficits. This may continue to improve over time or may stay static. He is also a cryptorchid. Needs rescue
05/02/25 15:07 Had a partial seizure this morning, very likely had seizure prior to initial presentation in beginning of March. Due to frequency, medication has been initiated. Shelter environment not conducive for seizure animals. Needs urgent rescue.
Notes from Foster
He's just such a goofy little ball of love and I'm treasuring every minute I get to enjoy that. He gets in his crate voluntarily and sleeps through the night. He has been responding well to praise for pottying outside and may need positive reinforcement to learn quickly. He's coexisting peacefully with our female senior who is slightly smaller. He's not a dog who will just run up and start playing with others, he needs slow careful introductions and the opportunity to approach in his own time. But when he's decided he likes another dog, he does well.
