Looking for someone who ready to join you on your next adventure? Meet Aladdin!
Aladdin came to the shelter in early April with his sister Jasmine. They were not getting a long but Aladdin has been making great improvements since he's been on his own. When being taken out for his walk, Aladdin is always excited to meet his walking friend for the day. Once he's in the yard he becomes super wiggly. He is just happy to be outside.
Aladdin is on needs rescue URGENT because of his inconstant behavior in the kennel. When he is out he is the biggest sweetie, but in the kennel it is a different story. There are some days where Aladdin is front of kennel and taking treats. However, there are also some days where he is growling and refusing to take treats. Aladdin needs to be out of the shelter as the main area he has not made improvements in is his kennel presence.
Come in today to meet Aladdin! He may just be what you need.

What I did today:
I met a new friend and I rode great in her car! We walked a looong way and I saw lots of people and dogs and even saw boar and a coyote! My favorite thing of the morning was all the sniffies! I might be part beagle because I love to lead with my nose ??
What should potential adopters know about me:
Aladdin is genuinely affectionate. He rides beautifully in the car and walks very well on leash! He is quite interested in small critters like squirrels (who, let’s face it, are mean to dogs!) but when faced with larger, more dangerous animals like the boar and even a coyote, he took my lead to keep moving and did not react at all.

Aladdin and his buddy spent the morning at Hellyer Park, where he walked more than 3½ miles while taking in all the new sights, sounds, and smells. He handled the outing like a champ, remaining unfazed as cyclists, motorcycles, joggers, and other dogs passed by, even one dog cruising around on wheels! The only things that really got Aladdin excited were the squirrels and other little critters scurrying across the ground. His buddy had to keep a firm grip on the leash and redirect his attention back to the trail and their adventure.
What to know about Aladdin:
• Aladdin is a total love bug who thrives on human connection and enjoys spending time with his people.
• Treat-motivated and eager to learn, Aladdin loves treats of all kinds and would be an excellent candidate for continued training using positive reinforcement.
• A little hesitant about getting into the car, but with some encouragement, a tasty treat, and a little assistance, he's happy to hop in. Once settled, he rides calmly and does very well during car trips.
• Very interested in small animals and critters. Squirrels, rabbits, and anything that scurries tend to capture his full attention. Because of his strong prey drive, Aladdin would do best in a home without cats, rabbits, or other small pets.
