From the foster:
We brought Jazmine home for what was supposed to be a weekend sleepover, and four days in, she's really found her feet. She was a little jumpy at first, which is completely understandable in a new place, but once she figured out the routine of the house she settled beautifully and has just kept calming down since. She's playful from the get-go, curious about everything, and so happy to be around people.
She and our dog hit it off right away. Jazmine is the one who initiates play, and they have a wonderful time together, and she absolutely loves a game of fetch. She's excited to get out and about, and she'll happily jump straight into the car like she's ready for any adventure with you. On walks she was in a bit of a hurry at first, pulling to explore the world and catch up with our dog, but that's already improved a lot over just a few days. She notices squirrels, but she's easy to redirect.
Around the house she's been a dream. No accidents at all, she stays dry through the night, and goes as soon as we let her out in the morning. Her crate took a couple of days of gentle coaxing, but now she walks right in at bedtime and sleeps soundly in her own crate beside our dog's, clearly comforted by having a furry friend next to her. She's a quick learner too, she watches our dog and picks things up from her. She comes when you call her name and is starting to learn sit. She'll still benefit from some training with her new family, but she learns fast, so we think she'll do really well.
Most of all, Jazmine is just an affectionate, social, enthusiastic girl, energetic in the way a healthy three-year-old should be. She loves a cuddle in your lap when you're sitting down and relaxing, and she's friendly with both dogs and people. We think she'd thrive in a home where she gets company, quality time with her family, and chances to get out and socialize. Another dog would be a bonus. We love her and we're enjoying every bit of the love and cuddles we get from this little girl. Her forever family will be so lucky to have her!

Meet Jazmine!
Jazmine came to our shelter in early April and has slowly been opening up. She is a super sweet girl who loves pets, it just takes her a minute to get to know you. Jazmine has been working hard to get over her nervousness so she can find her forever home. Since being here, we have noticed that she does have some skin issues. She doesn't let this slow her down though, and is always super exited to meet her walking friend for the day.
Come in today and meet Jazmine. She just might be the dog of your dreams.

What I did today:
Today I went out for a walk all over Willow Glen with my friend! I saw so many people who told me how pretty I am – they are right! I also saw lots of off leash dogs at the park, but I stayed on my leash ??I also found a new ball - It was my treasure!
What to know about this dog:
• Jazzy is a sweetheart!
• She walks beautifully on leash, though she does like to zig zag, so watch her feet!
• Jazzy is the cutest, happy girl – a ball and a walk are all she needs for a perfect day!

What I did today:
Jazmine was so excited to start her 5.5-mile adventure at Hellyer Park, she could hardly wait to jump in the car. Once we arrived, she was curious, happy, and ready to explore. She had a blast taking in all the new sights, sounds, and smells the park had to offer. After exploring, Jazmine enjoyed some relaxing downtime on the shady grass before getting back to her adventure. She had an absolute blast playing ball, getting lots of back scratches, and soaking up plenty of praise, love, and attention. She had a wonderful time being curious, adventurous, and observant of her surroundings. What a fun-filled day with this sweet girl!
What to know about this dog:
• Allows full handling of her ears, mouth, face, paws, tummy, and tail
• Sociable – friendly and wants to say hello to people - when we were sitting on the grass, she happily watched people and dogs passing by without pulling or trying to approach them
• Non-reactive to geese, birds, bikes, e-bikes, strollers, and children - showed mild curiosity toward squirrels but did not fixate or attempt to chase – easy to redirect when needed, listens well, and remains calm and relaxed in her surroundings
• Playful - having a ball is her happy place, it keeps her content, engaged, and having the best time - she will happily sit and wait for you to throw it, and she’s a great catcher - can easily take the ball out of her mouth so you can toss it again

What I did today:
Jazmine is a sweet, petite girl who was easy to leash up and eager to begin her adventure! She enjoyed a 3-mile walk at Santa Teresa Park, soaking up the fresh air and warm sunshine along the way. After her stroll, she happily jumped into the car for a fun trip to Pet Food Express, where she had a wonderful time sniffing all the tasty treats and exploring every corner of the store. Jazmine was an absolute joy to spend the day with!
What to know about this dog:
• Loves the car - Jumps in and out without any hesitation and is the perfect passenger for every adventure
• Allows full handling – face, ears, paws, tail, and belly rubs
• Dog social - She has a great playful spirit and would thrive with another dog of similar energy to be her built-in best friend
• Non reactive to squirrels, birds, turkeys – she was curious but did not fixate or try to chase, easy to redirect
