What did we do on today’s adventure:
Today I had a pawsome adventure at Jeffery Fontana Park and PetSmart, and I even got a pup cup—10/10 day! I walked nicely on a loose leash, mostly right by my handler’s side, checked in frequently, and stayed calm and non-reactive even when other dogs barked at me; the squirrels were pretty interesting, but I mostly ignored them and quickly got back on track when my handler redirected me. Once I decided my handler was my friend, I showed off my affectionate side by bringing over toys, playing fetch, putting my chin on their arm in the car, and even climbing into their lap like a little lap dog! I also jumped into the car all by myself, took a cozy nap on the way home, and made sure to stop frequently for some very important sniffing and pee-mail reading.
What should potential adopters know about me:
• Easygoing on walks — walks nicely on a loose leash, stays close to his handler, checks in frequently, and was not reactive to anything during the outing.
• Calm around dogs and squirrels — ignored dogs even when they barked at him and showed low prey drive toward squirrels, with quick response to gentle leash guidance when distracted.
• Affectionate once he warms up — he loves treats and toys, enjoys playing fetch, may bring you his toy, and can turn into a total lap dog once he considers you a friend.
• Great adventure buddy — rode well in the car, jumped in by himself, took a nap on the way home, and enjoyed exploring Jeffery Fontana Park and PetSmart.
Three words to describe me:
Affectionate, Easygoing, Loyal
