Koala is a senior chihuahua who is fearful in his communal room towards humans - he will low growl, turn head away, lip lick and avoid interaction; today (1 week on behavioral support medications) he was willing to come close enough to a technician to loop leash over, and walked well on leash towards medical ward, and we were able to perform basic physical exam; he tolerated touching his lips, pets to his head, stethoscope and palpation of belly.
On exam, Koala has a broken canine teeth and a few missing incisors, though full awake oral exam was not performed today due to his stress. He has a skin growth on his left side that is soft, moveable, and "skin-tag"-like in nature. He is intact with 1 small testicle and 1 more appropriately sized testicle. He has dermatitis (hairloss, thickening, scaliness) on his back and tail base and is being started on medications for his skin.
In need of urgent rescue who can provide dental care and ongoing care for his skin, and who can help him decompress out of shelter environment.
