Meet Jocko. This 2-year-old, 98 lb Lab/Mastiff mix is feeling the stress of shelter life and is hoping someone will give him the chance to decompress in a home.
Jocko is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to:
Lay in the sun
Play fetch
Snuggle with his people
Right now, the shelter environment is overwhelming for him. The stress has shown through things like hyperventilating, excessive drooling, and a hotspot on his leg that needs time to heal. What Jocko really needs is a calm place where he can relax, recover, and just be a dog again.
Outside of the kennel, Jocko is a friendly, energetic, playful companion. He is:
Potty trained
Crate trained
Walks well on leash
Knows “sit”
Great with children (ages 2–8)
Has lived successfully with cats
This active guy would love a family who can keep him busy with walks, playtime, and lots of love. More than anything, he needs someone willing to give him the patience, stability, and attention he deserves while he transitions out of the shelter.
