Old Enough to Learn, Young Enough to Play
Meet Zoomski—the teenage puppy with a permanent case of the wiggles!

At just a year old, Zoomski is in that sweet spot between tiny puppy and grown-up dog. He's got all the fun, curiosity, and enthusiasm of puppyhood, but with a little more size, confidence, and potential to focus than a brand-new baby pup.

As his name suggests, Zoomski loves to zoom. Toys? Amazing. Tennis balls? Even better. If there's a game to be played, Zoomski is ready to sign up immediately. He's treat motivated, already knows "sit," and is a smart boy who seems eager to learn whatever comes next. With continued training and consistency, this youngster has all the makings of an incredible companion.

Like many active young dogs, Zoomski has a lot of pent-up energy from kennel life and is looking for a family ready to help him channel it into adventures, training, and playtime. He'll thrive with people who understand that teenage dogs are still learning the rules of the world.

But beneath all those zoomies is a softer side. While recovering from kennel cough, one volunteer discovered that Zoomski is also a world-class cuddler who will happily curl up in a lap for comfort and affection.

Equal parts athlete, goofball, student, and snuggle bug, Zoomski is ready to trade shelter life for a home where he can run, learn, love, and finally be somebody's best friend.

Zoomski has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  He's also sharing his shelter suite with a friend he met at the shelter.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!   A home with dog savvy tweens and adults is recommended. Check out his playgroup video here:
