Located At: Sacramento County Animal Care Services
Name: My name is Purr.
Description: I am a female, tortie Domestic Shorthair.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 10 weeks old.
Weight: I weigh approximately 1.70 lbs.
More Info: I am in foster care. Please contact Foster Coordinators at foster@saccounty.gov for more information.
Princess Purr is an adventure-loving yet snuggly kitty with the best purr in the world! She is playful and energetic, and will hunt down and protect you from all toy mice, random scraps of paper on the floor, or really anything her little imagination deems a threat to her people. Once she plays, it's time for a nap, and the best place to nap is on you/in your personal space. If you have a beard, she's going to want to come rub her head on your chin before curling up for a snooze.
Despite being told many times people food is not good for kittens, she thinks you should share with her, and would like to try a bite or a sip of whatever you are having and will stick her head into your coffee cup to check and see what's in there. She's not food aggressive, just curious, but watch your cups and plates! She's easily distracted with a kitten treat. She was exposed to both other cats and kids of all ages in her foster home. She is fine being handled by anyone, even kids, but when she's in play mode can get a little rambunctious. Her favorite toys are stuffed mice and feather toys.
