Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 9 months old.
More Info: I was found and am I currently at San Antonio Animal Care Services. If you still believe you may be my owner please make arrangements to pick me up as soon as possible by 2pm on 10/18/2025. A note from Chester's foster mom:
Since coming into foster care, Chester has blossomed. He is now fully house trained and crate trained. He has not had any accidents in weeks and has never had an accident in his crate. He is able to stay in his crate for about five hours when we are out of the house and does very well.
His bite inhibition has improved tremendously. He is gentle when he plays with people and will redirect himself to a toy if he gets too excited. He absolutely loves toys and happily keeps himself occupied, but also enjoys playing tug and fetch with people.
Chester has become very affectionate and seeks out cuddles. He gives kisses on command, loves to be close to his humans, and often chooses to lie next to me or touch me when he sleeps.
On walks, he is a wonderful companion. While he is still gaining confidence with having his harness and leash put on, once they are on he is calm and easy to walk, does not pull, and walks nicely beside me. When walking with other dogs, he follows their lead and does great.
Overall, Chester has grown into a sweet, playful, affectionate, and well mannered dog who is ready to be part of a family. We really believe he would shine in a forever home and would love to help him get the visibility he deserves.
