Mocha went on a Shelter Paws!
From the Chaperone: We had a mostly relaxed day on her terms. Went back to our hotel. We took multiple walks around the park that is next to the hotel. She got to go on the tour bus for a few minutes and check it out. But mostly, we lounged around in bed and watched so many episodes of Law and Order: SVU.
I don't know where to start because whomever adopts her is going to hit the jackpot! Not one part of me wanted to return her. She is highly intelligent and very easy to redirect if she is doing something she shouldn't. She listens. She is super food driven which is going to be an asset in training her, but she is also very good with food. She let me take treats from her, move her food bowl while she was eating. She was not at all food aggressive to me. And she is so gentle when taking a treat from your hands, it's incredibly precious. We were immediate best friends, she is a perfect companion for someone who wants their very own velcro dog. Mocha is the perfect size dog that you can take everywhere, and she WILL want to go everywhere with you! She really enjoyed playing with crinkly sounding toys and LOVED the Kong and snuffle matt. She slept through the whole night cuddled up on my chest. She really is a special darling.
Mocha definitely needs work on going to the potty outside. We would go for a walk and she would immediately pee inside. But she did great with poops, all outside! She also just has that very excited puppy energy, when she's on the leash she does want to meet everyone, whether they want to or not! Which, understandable, she's amazing. But you do need to have a really good hold of her on the leash when there are plenty of people around.
