Located At: In Foster Care
Name: Rosemary
Sex: Female
Age: 2 Years
My first day at the shelter was: May 27, 2026
Bio:
Rosemary is a beautiful and sweet, young, adult, female Calico with big eyes and an equally generous heart who has just finished weening 7 kittens. A gentle and patient mother she has bloomed into a loving, attentive and affectionate companion. She has a big personality to share if at first she appears to be hesitant. Rosemary will need time to trust new people, but once she does she will seek them out for attention. Resistant to being held she is now accepting of it, but it is not her favorite form of affection. She lay on laps and will happily jump there when encouraged but this did take time with her first standing, then sitting and then finally laying down. She is an ethereal, peaceful creature once there; accepting all the love and affection she can get. Rosemary communicates with precious coos and mews and is eager to “talk” to humans when together. If she is in need of immediate attention she will use this range of vocals to let everyone know.
She is litterbox trained and eats both kibble and wet food. She will let one and all know she is done eating by trying to bury it like she does in the litter box! She responds positively to other cats, but introductions should be made slowly and cautiously and not all at once. Too many new experiences too soon may hinder progress, but she does like to hold conversations with other cats. It is unknown if she would respond positively to dogs, but like new humans, if introduced in a slow, respectful and calm manner, it could be a positive experience.
