Dido!!
First, let's talk about that coat! Dido is a tortie with such a unique look that you can't help but stop and take a second look. She's definitely not your everyday cat, and her personality is just as memorable as her appearance.
Dido has become a bit of a staff favourite, especially since she's been waiting at the shelter longer than we'd like. She originally arrived with her buddy/brother, was adopted, and sadly found herself back with us when things didn't work out. We'd really love for her next move to be her last.
This girl has character in spades! She's smart, confident, occasionally opinionated and has just the right amount of tortie sass to keep things interesting. She loves her toys, is easygoing around other cats, and is a clean, well-mannered houseguest. She's got a lot going for her and makes a wonderful companion. She follows staff around, loves to be involved and is affectionate/endearing on her terms of course
What does Dido need? Honestly, the best home ever! She's looking for a cat-experienced, adult-only home where she'll get plenty of attention, affection and all the little extras that make life good. She's a great cat who has already had a couple of changes in her life, and she deserves a home that recognizes just how special she is.
Dido will do best either as the only cat in the household, or paired with a very easygoing, submissive male cat who doesn't mind letting her take the lead (she can be quite bossy with other felines!) Because she can occasionally become overstimulated when she has petting or handling, she needs a cat-savvy, experienced owner who understands feline body language - really it sums up to you pet her when she wants to be petted!
Dido has been waiting long enough. It's time someone picked this very special girl and made her part of the family for good!
