I am a neutered male, tan and blue German Shepherd Dog mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 2 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Oct 14, 2026.
Choco (A140154) is a 1-year-and-2-month-old GSD mix who weighed 79 pounds at intake!
10/15/26 Choco and Ghost were surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of their own. Their adoptive owner had to leave town, and the pet sitter could no longer care for them. Their owner felt it was in the dog's best interest to come back to the shelter. They are both young rambunctious dogs hoping to find the right fit. They were known to get into trouble if left on their own. They are looking for homes that provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep them busy and out of mischief! If you are interested in meeting Choco, Ghost, or the pair, please let us know!
03/03/26 Choco was initially redeemed last week after initially being surrendered. Sadly, they had to make the difficult choice to follow through with his surrender. It was also noted at this surrender that Choco can be destructive inside if left unattended and does have a rough style of play that not all dogs appreciate. As previously mentioned, making appropriate introductions is key to success and understanding that not all dogs appreciate that type of playstyle. If you are interested in meeting Choco, please let us know!
02/25/26 Choco is back at the shelter looking for his fresh start! While in his last home, he was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate pup with a playful demeanor. He has had no experience around children, but was said to do well with strangers and adults. If you have children in the home, please ensure you are making appropriate introductions and supervising interactions, as Choco is still very much a puppy. He was said to be a chewer, so providing him with appropriate outlets for his energy and chew toys is important! Choco was said to be kenneled when his owners were not home. We do not know if he is fully housebroken but he was said to bark when he needs to go outside. Please keep in mind that there is always an adjustment period as he settles into his new home and routine. Choco was also said to do well with other dogs but has not been socialized with smaller critters like cats or pocket pets. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new animals to help continue setting him up for success. Choco has been a sweet boy and would love to find his new people to love. If you are interested in meeting Choco, please let us know!
11/08/25 These adorable pups were brought to the shelter as strays after being found at the Fox Transfer Site in a kennel. We have no idea the true mix of breeds in these puppies, but we believe they are shepherd mixes with maybe some pittie and maybe some husky too! These pups have been very outgoing and friendly while at the shelter! Puppies can be a lot of work, particularly with training. It would be a great start to enroll them in a puppy class with a certified trainer to set them up for success! If you are interested in meeting any of these cuties, please give us a call!
