Harmony (A142880) is a 6-year-old poodle who weighed nearly 50 lbs at intake!
07/25/26 This sweet lady is Harmony! Harmony was brought to the shelter in hopes of finding a more stable home environment. She was described as being shy, friendly, and affectionate and gentle. She was said to do well with children and babies, but she can be shy around strangers. Harmony has been known to chase cats, and she is picky about the dog company that she keeps. We are recommending her next home not have any kitties and uses caution if introducing her to new dogs. She does not have experience with other kinds of animals. Miss Harmony has been known to get into the trash and sometimes to go potty in the house. Proper kennel training can help with both of these habits. It was noted that she will take food off of counters when unsupervised as well (RIP Taco Bell soft taco), so make sure to keep the things she shouldn't eat well secured. Miss Harmony arrived with a severely matted coat that required a shave down to the skin, so she is now rocking a new haircut and care should be taken as her hair begins to grow out to avoid matting again. While Harmony was sedated for her shave here at the shelter because we had to get so close to her skin, she tolerated her feet and ears being trimmed at first and may actually have experience with being groomed! Regular grooming will be important to keep her coat and skin healthy. If you are interested in meeting Miss Harmony, please give us a call!
