More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 08, 2026.
08/08/26 These handsome little piggies are Trip and Scout! These boys were brought to the shelter after being left with the landlord to rehome. Due to the manner in which they were brought to the shelter, we do not know much about these boys other than what we have seen. While at the shelter, Trip and Scout have made it clear that they prefer to live alongside humans with little handling or interaction. They are looking for new servants that they can boss around and that will bring them food on demand (or at least daily). If you are unfamiliar with guinea pigs, we highly encourage you research them prior to adopting. Here are a few things that people may not realize: guinea pigs need a daily source of vitamin c (e.g. peppers, kale, or a suplement), they also need more room than pet store enclosures would have you think (running around helps their digestion), and they need hay more than pelleted food (they should still have their pellets, just a measured amount). Guinea pigs also need access to chew toys (yes, just like your dog) because their teeth are still growing, and that's how they keep them healthy!
