Hi, I'm True.
I’m 7 years old—7 long years of waiting and hoping for a forever home. I’ve seen so many friends come and go from the shelter, while I remain here, wondering why no one chooses me. I try my best to be a good boy, but I just don’t understand what I’m doing wrong.
Right now, I’m fortunate to be fostered by the Director’s office, but soon, I’ll have to return to the kennels. That thought breaks my heart. The kennels are loud and chaotic, filled with barking and noise that makes me anxious. I want to be my true self—a sweet and loving companion—but it’s so hard when the environment is so overwhelming. I’m an older dog, and what I really need is a quiet, loving space where I can relax and enjoy my golden years.
The staff and volunteers do their best to take me for walks and play with me when they can, but most of my days are spent in a kennel, feeling lonely and forgotten. I need my forever home sooner rather than later—a place where I can feel safe and loved. I’ve waited so long… please don’t let me wait any longer. Could you be the person I’ve been hoping for?
I know it’s a big ask, but if you’re not ready to adopt just yet, maybe we can take things slow. We could go on a doggy date and embark on a little “pawventure” together. I’ll show you just how wonderful it can be to have me in your life. Perhaps I’m the companion you’ve been searching for all along.
Please, give me a chance. I promise to fill your heart with love and joy.
