Animal Name: LUNA
Located At: Miami-Dade Animal Services
Kennel Number: Foster
Description: I am an unaltered female, black and white Terrier.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 1 month old
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 04, 2026.
Luna is one of the sweetest and most well-mannered dogs you could ever meet. She is incredibly gentle, affectionate, and loves being close to her people. She very rarely barks, happily sits beside you while you eat and will follow you around the house just to be near you.
She also has a very playful side and especially loves playing with stuffed animals and interacting with her people. Luna absolutely loves attention and will happily ask for pets from almost everyone she meets. She is a big pup, but that does not stop her from trying to climb right on top of you for cuddles!
One of Luna’s best qualities is how adaptable she is. On a rainy or quiet day, she is perfectly content relaxing in her bed and keeping you company. If you are ready to go outside or take a walk, though, she is just as happy to join you. She prefers shorter walks because she can get tired after walking long distances.
Luna is completely potty trained and waits until she is taken outside to go to the bathroom. She is a little shy around other dogs at first, but she is always gentle and friendly with them. She is also calm and curious around other animals.
Cars and busy traffic can still make Luna a little nervous. She is getting more comfortable riding in the car, but walking near roads with lots of traffic can be scary for her. With patience and reassurance, she continues to adjust.
Overall, Luna is a loving, calm, playful, and incredibly sweet companion. She would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a dog who can enjoy both cozy days at home and little adventures outside. Most of all, Luna just wants to be near her people, get lots of love, and return that love right back.
