Knock it out of the park with Home Run! This happy, fun, goofy yet easy-going pup would love to be a part of your team.
During time spent in a foster home, Home Run has shown that he is a good-natured, sweet house guest who is well-mannered. He loves spending time with his person, snuggled up on the couch or going on walks around the neighborhood together. He is a great cuddler, nestling right into your shoulder or perching himself as close as possible. Throw in some play time and it's his ideal day!
Home Run has shown good house manners so far. He is almost completely housebroken and does well being crated during the work day or overnight. He knows how to sit, takes his treats nicely and listens well. Home Run has been pretty quiet overall, only barking when he gets excited or during play time occasionally. If he ever has a moment of puppy exuberance or nosiness, or if he or picks something up that you want him to drop, he will gladly take a toy instead and merrily be on his way. He loves to sniff and explore on walks and is fairly easy to manage on leash, with only occasional pulling towards things and people he wants to say hi to. If you want to go for a ride, Home Run has been a calm and quiet passenger.
With other dogs in play group, Home Run has been playfully social, with some possible herding tendencies. He has also shown playful interest towards cats in the foster home, so he could have potential to live with cats (we always suggest doing slow intros!) Home Run also seems like he would also be perfectly content just soaking up human companionship in his home. Once he gets to know you, he is quick to show how affectionate and playful he can be. Home Run finds the kennel environment to be stressful, but he relaxes quickly into the relative peace and love of a home routine. He's ready to find a forever family! He is estimated to be around a year old and weighs 64 lbs.
