Cedar is a happy, active, curious pup looking for a partner who loves to roam. He likes to sniff and explore and simply take in the sights and smells around him. Perhaps Cedar is channeling his name as a nature lover, and he can help you to enjoy the great outdoors too.
Cedar is a smart dog who responds well to training and a routine. He seems like he could be housetrained and he knows how to sit and is food-motivated. He can be strong at times on leash when he is excited but can settle into a nice pace too. He is understandably frustrated in the kennel environment, but shows a lot of potential to be an attentive, eager sidekick once he can decompress a bit.
Cedar has a fun, silly side that we expect to shine more and more in a home. During quieter moments after he has a chance to stretch his legs, he also enjoys relaxing with some nice pets from a friend.
Cedar is a trooper and we recently learned he will need surgery for his knee. Fortunately, Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland covers the cost of surgery - Cedar just needs a loving, safe space where he can rest and recover before he can get back to normal dog activities. Maybe he can become a porch or backyard hangout buddy before he works back up to hiking adventures.
Cedar is estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 45 lbs. Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to set up a meet!
